READ IT CHALLENGE!
We want to encourage you to read through the Bible with us this year. Below are links to several plans. Printed copies are also available at the connections desk in the front foyer or in our church office throughout the week. Regularly reading the Bible provides a great opportunity for us to develop our knowledge of Jesus, to be transformed into His image, and to be united as a church. Bible reading is important personally and as a family. If you have young children, one doable approach to reading the Bible as a family is to read one psalm and/or one proverb each day (one corresponding to that day's date).
Starting and maintaining a pattern of Bible reading is challenging. Keep this promise from James 4:8 in mind as you get started, or restarted... "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
This plan will take you through the New Testament in a year, reading only Monday to Friday. Weekends are set aside for reflection and study. Reading one psalm and one proverb each day can make a great addition to this plan. https://www.navigators.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/navigators-5x5x5-new-testament-bible-reading-plan.pdf
This one is through the whole Bible, OT and NT every day. https://www.navigators.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Discipleship-Journal-Bible-Reading-Plan-9781617479083.pdf

This plan takes you through the entire Bible in one year, providing two readings for each day. The first reading alternates between Old and New Testament books with the Gospels spread throughout the year. The second reading takes you through a chapter of the wisdom literature and Isaiah. You can begin at any point of the year. Each month consists of twenty-five readings, so you’ll have a few extra days each month to catch up on missed readings, or to review significant passages. https://www.navigators.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/navigators-book-at-a-time-bible-reading-plan.pdf
